Hu Jintao addressed nation with congratulation speech

Chairman of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao has said delivering a speech at the festive events dedicated to celebration of the 60th anniversary of foundation of the People's Republic of China being held at present at the Tiananmen Square in Beijing.

Top officials of the country - Hy Jintao, Djan Djemin, U Bango, Wen Jiabao, Li Changchun and others are attending the event.

Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Lu Zhi announced beginning of a military parade on the occasion of the holiday.

After then Hu Jintao addressed the attendees with a speech of congratulation.

"China will follow the way of socialism and we will adhere political reforms and the principle of openness, stimulation of scientific development and harmony in the society, improvement of well-being of the people", Hu Jintao said.

As the chairman of the country noted, China would pursue independent peaceful foreign policy on the basis of five principles of peaceful coexistence and develop friendly relations with the whole world.
