According to Kassymbek, social infrastructure development remains one of the priority tasks. This  includes the construction of educational institutions, medical facilities, kindergartens, student cafeterias, schoolyards, public spaces (parks, squares, boulevards), and more.

"Over 12,500 students graduated from schools in 2024, while more than 28,500 children were admitted as first graders. The number of first-graders exceeds the number of graduates by more than twice. For this reason, the city needs to build more schools," the Mayor emphasizes.

Zhenis Kassymbek inspected the progress of construction of several schools at the intersection of Tolebayev and Burabay streets, Kudaiberdiuly and Zhansugurov streets, and Egemen Kazakhstan and Imanov streets.

"As you know, since the beginning of the current academic year, we have built and commissioned 24 educational facilities. This is a record indicator for the capital. As many as 66,000 students attend these schools in two shifts. 16 f them are comfortable schools. As part of the Comfortable School national project, in line with the instruction of the Head of State, 24 new-format schools will be built in the city. Comfortable schools will let educate nearly 90,000 students in two shifts. In the new academic year, we plan to open at least 15 more schools. Private funds are also being involved in the construction of educational institutions. Training of teachers is also in our spotlight, as we annually allocate grants for pedagogical majors. Some 2,200 students are studying under the grants of the city akimat" Kassymbek says.

Earlier, it was reported that the Kazakh capital is set to build 15 more schools in 2025.
