How many mineral reserves are there in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan’s mineral resource base includes 987 reserves of solid minerals, the country’s industry and construction minister Kanat Sharlapaev said during a government meeting, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

According to Sharlapaev, Kazakhstan has observed growth in iron, manganese, gold, uranium, oil and gas reserves in the past 30 years.
However, the rate of replenishing copper, zinc, lead, aluminum reserves is behind the replenishment of aforementioned mineral resources, providing an added boost for conducing more thorough geological works, he said.
The Kazakh minister added that the country’s gold replenishment rate stands at 1.2, meaning that the volume of proven reserves is more than that of gold production.
The copper replenishment rate is 0.7. The country’s copper reserves in the public accounting will last for over 40 years. Subsoil users actively exploring future copper deposits, said Sharlapaev.
