Hotels of the future to offer a keyless room access

Thanks to the Brivo Labs technology, clients will soon be able to access their room without a key or a magnetic card. Via the smartphone app, all they will have to do is swipe their mobile phone across a NFC terminal which will automatically unlock the door. HotelTonight reveals it is currently negotiating with many hotels worldwide to be able to offer this new feature in the near future. The app has also been improved by the "Check-In Express" tool. Users will be able to check in by just pressing a few keys on their smartphone. Then, they will receive a notification telling them their room is ready and that they can pick up their key at the reception, via privileged access, Relaxnews reports. The "Check-in Express" feature is currently being tested in a selection of hotels and it is offered on the HotelTonight iPhone app. It will be available later in even more hotels and on Android in the coming weeks. Launched in 2011, HotelTonight allows users to find a hotel room in the morning for that day's night at a reduced price in over 400 destinations worldwide.
