Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan to open in Serbia

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstani informs that the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan was planned to be opened in Serbia.

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Serbia Nurbakh Rustemov held meetings in Belgrade with President Tomislav Nikolic, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ivica Dacic, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication Rasim Ljajic and other top officials.

During the meetings, the sides discussed bilateral relations and development of fruitful dialogue on different levels and directions including strengthening of economic cooperation between the countries.

The Kazakhstani diplomat expressed gratitude to the Serbian side for support of Kazakhstan as a candidate for the post of the non-permanent member of the UNSC in 2017-2018. The sides also reached agreement on participation of Serbia in the EXPO-2017.

Minister R. Ljajic expressed his willingness to take part in the 8 th Astana Economic Forum in May 2015.

Besides, the parties agreed to open the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Belgrade, the statement reads.
