Hong Kong reports 234 new influenza A/H1N1 cases

HONG KONG. August 7. KAZIFNORM Hong Kong confirmed 234 new cases of influenza A/H1N1 Friday, bringing the total to 5,208 in the region, local health authorities said, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
spokesman for the Department of Health said the new cases involve 119 males and 115 females, aged between 10 months and 79 years.
According to the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, a total of 64 confirmed cases are currently staying in public hospitals for treatment. Among them, 58 cases are in stable condition, one in serious and five in critical condition, KAzinform cites Xinhua. See www.chinaview.cn for full version.
