Holding International Mathematical Olympiad in Astana to be new stimulus for Kazakh youth - Kazakh President

ANA. July 6. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Today there has been held an opening ceremony of the 51st International Mathematical Olympiad in the Palace of Independence in Astana. Minister of Education and Science Zhanseit Tuimebayev read out welcoming statement of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to its participants.
"For the first time this youth scientific forum, which gathered representatives of over 100 countries, is held in Kazakhstan. We see deep meaning in selection of Astana as a venue. First of all, it is great honor for our country. it is recognition of contribution of a number of generations of the Kazakh scientists to development of modern mathematics. And it is high estimate of a result of young Kazakhstanis, who partook in international mathematical olympiads", the statement reads.
The Kazakh President expressed confidence that holding the International Mathematical Olympiad in Astana will be a new stimulus for the Kazakh youth in strengthening friendship, wide exchange of scientific ideas.
