History of Kazakhstan to be studied more in schools - Education Ministry

ASTANA. June 14. KAZINFORM - Currently, the Ministry of Education and Science has established a working group to analyze the curricula, textbooks and teaching materials on the history of Kazakhstan, informs the press service of the education department.
The working group is composed of prominent scientists, historians, professors of leading universities, methodists, school teachers and community leaders.
"As a result of their joint work will be reviewed the content of curricula, textbooks and teaching materials on the history of Kazakhstan and will be worked out the new ones based on common approaches.
It will also analyze the topics concerning increasing the number of teaching hours provided for the study of the History of Kazakhstan ", states the press-service. The decision on more school hours will be taken at the next collegium the Education Ministry, department mentions.
