High-ranking officials letting their subordinates commit corruption will be required to resign - Baimenov

ASTANA. February 21. KAZINFORM In Kazakhstan, there has been drafted a bill mandating high-ranking officials to tender resignation if their subordinates commit corruption, Chairman of Kazakh Civil Service Affairs Agency Alikhan Baimenov said on the sidelines of the Government meeting on Tuesday.
According to A. Baimenov, the bill provides that heads of the state bodies, who are public officers, are obliged to resign in case if their subordinates have committed corruption-related crime. In this case the resignation may be accepted or rejected in discretion of the person, who appointed this public officer.
