High fire threat is in effect in Kazakhstan
Mets issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan for October 9, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.
Fair weather is expected today throughout the greater part of Kazakhstan, it said in a statement.
Heavy downpours are predicted to batter the country’s west, and northwest. Fog is forecast to blanket the mountainous districts of the southeast.
The high fire threat is in effect in Pavlodar, Akmola, Abai, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Ulytau, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kostanay, Mangistau and North Kazakhstan.
The extremely high fire hazard is in place in Atyrau, Atobe, Kyzylorda, West Kazakhstan, Ulytau, Turkistan, Zhambyl, Kostanay, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, Abai, Zhetysu, and Almaty regions.
As earlier reported, wildfires have broken out in several regions of Kazakhstan in the past few days.
