Helicopter crashes in north of Indonesia, 10 people killed

JAKARTA. August 4. KAZINFORM Ten people were killed after a Bell-412 helicopter crashed on Thursday in mountains in the north of Indonesia, the country's national news agency Antara reported; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

The helicopter, which belonged to an Indonesian mining company, was carrying six locals and four Australian nationals when it crashed shortly after the take off from the airport in Manado, the capital of the North Sulawesi province.

Nine people died at the scene of the accident and one more died on his way to hospital.

Detik.com reports that, according to preliminary information, poor weather conditions led to the crash.
