Heavy snowfalls to hit Kazakhstan on Thursday

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Meteorologists predict heavy snowfalls in most regions of Kazakhstan today. According to Kazhydromet, Kazakhstan's national forecaster, fog, sleet and bleak wind can also be expected in some areas of the country.
Stiff wind gusting up to 25-30 meters per second will hit Almaty region. Akmola, Aktobe, Karaganda and East Kazakhstan regions are bracing for snowstorm and strong wind. Winds will blow through Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions as well. Zhambyl, South Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda and Mangystau regions will be steeped in fog. Forecasters warn residents of West Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions to prepare for blizzard.
