ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Astana was deluged with heavy rain on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency Department of Astana issued a special weather statement late afternoon on Saturday advising of "local heavy downpours". Roads of the capital have been flooded. Heavy rain continued for about 5 hours. Huge amount of rainfall caused traffic congestion. In particular, there has been closed section of road from B.Momyshuly Avenue - to Daraboz Street, a section of road at an intersection of Baitursynov and Tauelsizdik Streets. It was advising the public to check the weather agency's website for updates.
