Heavy downpours to pound west of Kazakhstan

The greater part of Kazakhstan is set to face today thundershowers, with hail and squalls predicted in the country’s west, northwest and southeast. Heavy downpours are expected to batter the west, northwest and the mountains in the country’s southeast, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.
The north and east of Kazakhstan are forecast to enjoy Friday weather without precipitation.
Heat indexes are expected to soar in Almaty, Kyzylorda and Zhetysu regions.
The fire threat remains high in Mangistau, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, and Zhambyl regions. The extreme fire threat exists in Turkistan, Kyzylorda, Mangistau, Ulytau, Kostanay, and Atyrau regions.
