Heavy downpours to batter west of Kazakhstan

Rain and snow are expected today in the country’s west, east, southeast with heavy downpours predicted in the west, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.
The rest of Kazakhstan is set to enjoy weather without precipitation.
Fog, high wind, dust storms and ice-slick are forecast to grip Kazakhstan locally.
Ground frosts with mercury reading 1-6 degrees Celsius persist at night in Almaty, Zhetysu, Turkistan, and Zhambyl regions.
As reported earlier heavy snow and rain were forecast to grip the country’s southeast, while the southwest was set to brace for heavy downpours and thunderstorms.
