Heatwave and rains to batter Kazakhstan

Rains are expected to douse the country’s northwest, and south today with heavy downpours forecast for the central part of Kazakhstan. Thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are in store the countrywide, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.
The country’s east is expected to enjoy weather without precipitation.
The scorching heat is reported to batter Almaty, Zhetysu and Abai regions.
The high fire threat remains in Mangistau, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Atyrau, Aktobe, and Abai regions.
