At today’s Government meeting, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said the heating season started in most of Kazakhstan in time this year. The rest of the regions, especially in the country's south, will be connected to the heating networks in a couple of days, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Bektenov said no failures were recorded. All the necessary funds were allocated. Repair works are underway at reserve facilities at heat sources.
The Prime Minister also stressed the need to ensure that the heating system works properly during the heating season ahead.
He said it is crucial to provide all repair units of public utility companies with the necessary equipment to promptly respond to any condition. He charged the akims (governors) to monitor the heating season progress.
The Premier charged the Energy Ministry and the National Economy Ministry to monitor the fulfillment of investment obligations under the tariff in exchange of investment program in the heating energy sector and power industry.
The National Economy and Energy Ministries and other concerned state bodies are assigned to update control measures over the performance of investment commitments by natural monopoly entities at all heating and energy sources.
