Healthcare should serve a basis for Strategy 2050 goals

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "The country's healthcare system should serve as a basis for achieving the goals, outlined in the Kazakhstan 2050 Strategy," Healthcare Minister of Kazakhstan Salidat Kairbekova said at today's meeting on realization of the State-of-the-Nation Address of Nursultan Nazarbayev held at today's Republican Diagnostic Centre in Astana.
"The Ministry's goal now is to build up a steady, precise, transparent system of management and financing of the medical assistance. It should provide a framework for attaining the goals of the 2050 Strategy. The system should meet the people's expectations," the Minister added. According to her, the country's population should reach 26 mln by 2050 and the role of medicine will be determinant in this process.
