Healthcare Minister held roundtable on tuberculosis prevention in Kazakhstan

KAZINFORM. /Zhanmurat Zhanaidarov/ A roundtable on "The tuberculosis epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan and role of NGOs in struggle against the disease" chaired by Minister of Healthcare of Kazakhstan Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev has been held in Burabay municipality of Akmola region.
Last year the Minister of Healthcare allocated KZT 1.6 billion for purchase of equipment and X-ray diagnostic machines to seven regions of Kazakhstan. The Ministry also plans to purchase the equipment for other regions in 2009-2011. Social aid to the amount of KZT 109 million was rendered to 19,721 ill persons. 20 preschool health resorts were put into operation. Capital repair to the amount of KZT 1.7 billion was held in the health facilities.
