Heads and reps of 14 missions of European states to Kazakhstan visited Pavlodar

The Head of the region briefed the guests arrived in Pavlodar for participation in the Day of Europe on Saturday on the economy of the region and potential opportunities for cooperation.

"The trade turnover of the region with the EU member states was up to USD 257 mln last year. There exist opportunities for enhancing trade cooperation and participation of foreign capital in establishment of productions. A favorable investment climate was created in the country as well as a broad preferences scheme for joint projects and enterprises", B.Sagintayev said.

According to him, the business cooperation will help to the region in further industrial and cultural development. Kazakhstan and Russia and establishing the Customs Union that opens a big market for goods produced in the region.

Head of Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan, Ambassador Norbert Jousten and Ambassador of Spain to Kazakhstan Alberto Anton Cortes emphasized the intention of the EU member states to cooperate in the field of culture, economy and education.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic in Kazakhstan Dushan Podgorski suggested working together over the solution of problems of Irtysh cross-border River.
