Head of State: southern Kazakhstan has big development potential

TARAZ. May 25. KAZINFORM "South Kazakhstan region has great development potential," Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a meeting with southern regions' akims (governors) in Taraz.
Speaking on implementation of such state programs as the Program of Forced Industrial Innovative Development, Single-Industry Towns Development, Business Assistance, Modernization of Housing and Utilities Infrastructure, N. Nazarbayev stressed all this is being done for the welfare of the Kazakh people.
The Kazakh President noted that the first discussion of the state programs implementation has begun in southern Kazakhstan. "This region has huge natural, industrial, labor resources."
"15 projects worth KZT 79 billion were already implemented for two years under the State Program of Forced Industrial Innovative Development. Another 12 projects to the amount of KZT 63 billion are in progress," Akim of Zhambyl region reported.
