Head of State ratifies biological material transfer agreement
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev inked the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ratify the Agreement on biological material transfer, Akorda reports.

Earlier it was reported that the Committee on Agrarian Issues of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament reviewed the law on the ratification of the Agreement on biological material transfer.
The law aims at ratifying the agreement signed in 2022 in Minsk, Belarus, on transfer of biological material to prevent the spread of infectious diseases of animals, improve a laboratory diagnosis of especially dangerous diseases as well as replenish the national collection of stains and protect the territories of the signatories to the agreement from epizootics.
The law sets out the requirements for laboratory studies and movement of biological material. It also establishes the legal framework for employees of national agencies to prevent diseases. It is expected that the law will increase the efficiency of the fight against mass diseases among animals at the regional level.
