Head of State opens Water-Green Boulevard in Aktobe

AKTOBE. September 10. KAZINFORM /Samal Yendibayeva/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has taken part in the opening ceremony of Vodno-Zelyony Bulvar (Water-Green Boulevard) of Unity and Accord in Aktobe today. This is one of the main facilities put into operation in the day of celebration of the 140th anniversary of Aktobe.

"The Water-Green Boulevard of Aktobe is the continuation of the Water-Green Boulevard of Astana. Friendship and accord are the main directions of our policy. Today Kazakhstan is a true example of friendship and accord among the people. All people in Kazakhstan, despite their confession and nationality, live in peace, preserving their language, studying their history", the Head of the State noted.

"It is notable that we became the place of holding of three congresses of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and got the OSCE chairmanship. Let our unity and brotherhood be everlasting", N.Nazarbayev said.

Public figure Zakretdin Baidosov spoke for Aktobe citizens, proposing to name the Boulevard after the First Kazakh President.

The Boulevard of Unity and Accord occupies 64 thousand square meters between the regional mosque "Nurgasyr" and St Nicholas Church as a symbol of spiritual union of the world religions and tolerance in the society.
