Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev receives Minister of Economy

In Akorda presidential residence, Minister Dossayev presented a report on results of his ministry's activity over 10 months of 2013 and the progress of implementation of the presidential instructions given at the enlarged session of the Government this October. He noted Kazakhstan's GDP has totaled 5.8% in the reported period and is expected to hit the projected level of 6% by yearend.

The Kazakh President said it was necessary to ensure further development of Kazakhstan's economy, carry out social modernization and support small and medium business.

The Minister of Economy and Budget Planning also briefed Nursultan Nazarbayev on the measures planned by the ministry as regards monitoring of the state and sectoral programs in order to raise their effectiveness.

Following results of the meeting, the Head of State gave a number of specific instructions.
