Head of State lays foundation capsule to Cathedral Mosque of Astana

ANA. June 29. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has laid a commemorative capsule to the fundament of the future Cathedral Mosque of Astana and named it "Hazret Sultan" today.
The Head of the State stressed the importance of the event and informed that the Mosque will be constructed on donations and sponsors funds, calling for Kazakhstanis to take part in it.
According to Kazakh Supreme Mufti Absattar-kazhy Derbisali, the Mosque will be the fourth in Astana. Existing three Mosques don't seat all visitors, especially on Muslim holidays. A site of 7.42 ha on the right bank of Ishim River was selected for the construction.
