Hatoyama elected as Japan PM

TOKYO. September 16. KAZINFORM Leader of the Japanese Democratic Party Yukio Hatoyama was elected Japan's 60th prime minister on Wednesday. The overwhelming majority in the House of Representatives, the lower house of Japan's parliament, voted for him. Under the Constitution the lower house has final say in the election of the Japanese premier; Kazinform refers to ITAR-TASS.
