Harbin 2025: Kazakhstan’s Bortsov earns silver after opponent disqualified

Kazakhstan’s Konstantin Bortsov took home silver in the men’s sprint classic event at the ongoing 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Оlympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Bortsov was the third to cross the finish line, claiming bronze. However, Japan’s Haruki Yamashita who secured silver, was later disqualified due to violation.
China’s Wang Qiang and Saimuhaer Sailike took gold and bronze, respectively.
Earlier it was reported that Bortsov secured bronze in the final in Harbin.
