Grigory Marchenko to be single CIS candidate for post of IMF chief - PM

MINSK. May 19. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Grigory Marchenko is to be nominated for the post of the IMF chief from all CIS countries. Prime Minister Karim Massimov has announced at an enlarged session of the CIS Council of Heads of Government.
"Today the Kazakh side asked the CIS prime ministers to support candidacy of Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Grigory Marchenko for the post of the IMF Managing Director," K.Massimov said.
The Premier thanked his colleagues for their support.
