“Green Bridge” Programme to be one of main regional mechanisms for transition to green economy - Nazarbayev

TANA. September 21.KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The Seventh "Environment for Europe" Ministerial Conference has started its work in Astana. It is suggested to discuss draft Europe-Asia-Pacific Partnership Programme "Green Bridge."
First Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev read out President Nursultan Nazarbayev's message to the event participants.
"Today at the conference we propose to consider the Partnership Programme "Green Bridge", which further will be one of the main regional mechanisms for the transition to green economy. We believe that our initiative will strengthen partnership between the countries of Europe, Asia and the Pacific Ocean, give a positive result and additional advantages to the current regional programs," the statement reads.
The Head of State is confident that this conference will promote implementation of goals of steady development and maintenance of our planet.
