Great Patriotic War veterans plant trees in Astana

"Today, we have a traditional event dedicated planting trees. Beginning from 2008, veterans annually plant trees in "Ardager" alley. We do this in the name of those who gave their lives defending the homeland. Allow me to express my deep gratitude to the veterans who live in our institution for the victory and for the peaceful sky over our heads", said the Director of the institution for elderly and disabled Kenzhebulat Bapyshev. The event has been attended by representatives of city and regional Akimats, city Maslikhat, the General Prosecutor's Office of the capital, as well as public organizations. It should be noted that 311 people live in the medical and social institution for elderly and disabled, including 6 veterans who have served in the Armed Forces during war time, 20 persons equaled to the veterans, 33 homefront workers, 32 newground workers, 6 repressed, and 124 disabled persons of group I and II.
