Graduate School of Education to open at Nazarbayev University

The memorandum on cooperation was signed by the sides within the Eurasian Higher Education Leaders Forum in Astana.

"Thanks to the Graduate School, the Nazarbayev University will be fulfilling its mission on spreading its experience in the sphere of application of advanced knowledge and methods to the sector of education of Kazakhstan," the statement reads.

It should be noted that the Graduate School will begin conducting education on master's degree programs since September of 2013.

Besides, it is planned to include the PhD program in future. Students from Kazakhstan and foreign countries will be able to study at the Graduate School of Education of the Nazarbayev University. The School will prepare about 400 specialists educated within the master's degree program and have its first graduates of the PhD program by 2020.

This new school will become a leading education and scientific center for preparation of managerial personnel for the education system of Kazakhstan and allow to improve the scientific basis of the research in the sphere of education policy by means of holding joint research works with its partners and the other foreign education organizations and research centers.
