Governmental working group surveyed industrial enterprises of Karaganda region

KARAGANDA. February 18. KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ A governmental working group headed by First Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau surveyed a number of industrial enterprises in Karaganda region included in the country's Industrialization Map.

Besides, A. Rau held a sitting of the regional coordination council on accelerated industrial innovative development. Representatives of the regional development institutes told about new mechanisms of business support. "Productivity-2020" Program was presented to the attendees.

"Presently, Karaganda region has 23 investment projects totaling KZT 213 billion included in the Industrialization Map. 3,607 new jobs are planned to be created. 15 projects to the amount of KZT 31 billion and with 1,000 new jobs will be put into service in 2011. Besides, we work with initiators of five more investment projects expected to be launched this year", Yerbulat Kargin, chief of the regional department of entrepreneurship and industry, informed.

In 2010 the region put into operation nine investment projects amounting to KZT 30 billion. 800 new jobs were created. The results of the first year of implementation of the State Program of Accelerated Industrial Innovative Development are positive. The country's industrial production growth rate made 10 percent in 2010. There is a significant contribution to the manufacturing industry, which showed an 18 percent increase.
