Government to develop two new state programs

"The main dimensions of the Government activities have been defined in your State of the Nation Address "Strategy 2050". The Government adopted a detailed plan on its implementation. This year, the Cabinet will elaborate and submit for your consideration two significant programs. These are the state program of infrastructure development and the state program of agro-industrial complex development till 2020," S.Akhmetov said.

The Premier also said that the work on regional development would be one of the main dimensions of the government activities. Thus, the newly established Ministry of Regional Development will focus on coordination and solution of problems of territorial development including supervision over the economic growth centers, entrepreneurship, housing and utilities construction and local self-governance.

The Premier assured that all programs would be realized in the light of the regional development, thereat, their implementation would have a positive impact on every region, every town, every village and every citizen of the country.

The Government will also continue the work aimed at attraction of foreign direct investments, development of public private partnership and diversification of the economy.

According to S.Akhmetov, the large-scale development of infrastructure will require significant investment.

"It is crucial to provide stimulation and create conditions to attract private investors," the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Cabinet drafted a law extending the forms of public private partnership and providing good guarantees for private investors. It will be submitted for consideration of the Parliament soon.
