Government of Japan provides grants for social projects in Kazakhstan

Japanese government has taken the decision to provide financial assistance to four projects in the form of grants of up to 110 thousand U.S. dollars for small-scale social projects to ensure human security in the framework of "Grassroots" program of the Japanese official development assistance.

The grants have been received by the following projects named "The project to repair the hospital nursing care", "Project for the acquisition thermoplastic for vocational rehabilitation and poverty alleviation of the visually impaired", "Project on providing the audio logical cabinet with modern diagnostic equipment and soundproof room" and "Project for construction of crisis center for women and children in difficult situations. "

The grant aid program called "Grassroots" has been implemented in Kazakhstan since 1997. It aims to support non-governmental organizations, the local governments, primary health care institutions. During the 15 years of this program in Kazakhstan the financial support has been given to 59 projects worth 4,067,614 American dollars.
