Government debt to GDP at safe level, Minister

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Government debt to GDP stands at safe level," Deputy PM of Kazakhstan, Finance Minister Bakhyt Sultanov said.
"Budget deficit made KZT 718 bln. Government debt to GDP approaches 13% that is safe," he told the joint sitting of the Kazakh Parliament underway in Astana. The list of the countries by public debt ranks Kazakhstan 14th among 148 countries. "The real GDP growth made 6%. Inflation reached 4,8% that is 1,2% less as compared to 2013. Thereat, budget expenditures hit KZT 5 trillion 99,1 billion or 99,3% to the plan. Budget expenses increased by KZT 195 bln," he noted.
