Golubev retires in match vs. Mikhail Youzhny at Rome Masters

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Mikhail Youzhny of Russia has advanced to the last 16 of the 2014 Rome Masters in Italy after his opponent from Kazakhstan retired in the middle of the match, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.
It was Andrey Golubev, 26, who retired 7:5, 4:1 down in the second round. This is quite a disappointment for Kazakhstani tennis fans after impressive first round win Golubev had over world's №25 Fernando Verdasco in two straight sets 6:4, 7:5.
In the next round Mikhail Youzhny will face off with either Rafael Nadal or Gilles Simon.
