Gold rebounds from six-month low

Gold prices rebounded from a six-month low on Thursday, WAM reports.

Spot gold rose 0.4 percent to 4,089.12 US dollars per ounce by 02:15 GMT, after hitting its lowest since 21st November at 4,022.09 US dollars earlier in the day.

US gold futures for August delivery were down 0.5 percent at 4,111.10 US dollars.

Spot silver rose 0.3 percent to 63.86 US dollars per ounce, platinum gained 0.6 percent to 1,673.75 US dollars, and palladium climbed 2.2 percent to 1,239.89 US dollars.

Global commodity markets experienced a reallocation of capital during early Asian trading in early June, as a contraction in oil prices and a weaker US dollar combined to lift gold and other precious metals.
