GGG: Hall of Fame induction is the result of 35 years of hard work and dedication

Gennady Golovkin, world-famous Kazakh boxer, President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan and World Boxing, commented on his induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, Qazinform News Agency reports.

The statement was posted on the boxer’s official Instagram account on June 16.

“It is an honor to be recognized alongside so many champions and figures who have left their mark on the history of boxing. This achievement is the result of more than 35 years of hard work, discipline and dedication. No matter the challenges, I never stopped believing in myself and moving forward. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey and supported me along the way. I am proud to stand among those who have contributed so much to our sport,” the statement reads.⠀

Previously, it was reported that Gennady Golovkin became the first Kazakh boxer to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Canastota, New York.

It was also reported that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Golovkin on IBHOF induction.
