Germany keen to take part in EXPO-2017 event in Astana

ASTANA. October 25. KAZINFORM On October 25, 2013 First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and National Commissioner of the International specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017" Rapil Zhoshybayev held talks with German Bundestag deputy Jürgen Klimke, Kazinform has learnt from the Kazakh MFA's press service.

Rapil Zhoshybayev and Jürgen Klimke discussed the issues of commercial and economic and political cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany, bilateral interaction in the field of technologies, innovations, alternative and renewable energy, as well as participation of the German companies in the EXPO-2017 event.

Mr. Zhoshybayev noted the importance of the event for Kazakhstan, its role in the diversification of country's economy. He also stressed that Germany is an internationally renowned leader in the field of advanced technologies, including 'green' energy.

J. Klimke, in turn, noted close ties and high status of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Germany. Having praised the process of preparations for the EXPO-2017 event, he put forward an array of proposals on qualitative coverage of the exhibition in the German society and expressed interest in active participation in the EXPO-2017 event.
