16:48, 1 February 2013
ASTANA. February 1. KAZINFORM Germany, France and Kazakhstan will jointly celebrate the 50th anniversary of Franco-German friendship - the Elysee Treaty, the press service of the Embassy of Germany in Kazakhstan said.
Gala reception with representatives of the Kazakh Government, the diplomatic corps and honored guests will be held on Februry 4 at the invitation of the embassies of France, Germany and aviation group EADS on the territory of the LLP "Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering".
The text of the Elysee Treaty signed on 22 January 1963 is short and compact, bit its content is undoubtedly revolutionary: Germany and France sealed after decades of military tensions its reconciliation and friendship. The Elysee Treaty was also the foundation of the European Union, for which Germany and France are not only the two main co-founders, but now, as before, the driving force in resolving the current problems.
