Germany carrying out 38 investment projects in Kazakhstan
Among the important projects the Vice Minister named three plants that are under construction. A cement plant in Mangystau region is constructed with German HeidelbergCement. EUR 160 million of direct investments was invested in this project. The plant will create about 1,000 jobs. Another project is a unit for the production of industrial gases, which is built by the Linde Group in Karaganda region. Capital investment is EUR 95 million. Also, Siemens and JSC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy cooperate in the field of electrification of the railways of Kazakhstan and the modernization of traction substations.
"Over the last two years of cooperation there were several mutual visits of heads of state and government of the two countries, when 93 investment and trade and service agreements totaling EUR 6.5 billion were signed," A. Rau noted.
