German Ambassador pays official visit to Semey

SEMEY. April 15. KAZINFORM /Lina Slavina/ Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Germany to Kazakhstan Rainer Schlageter pays official visit to Semey within the Year of Germany in Kazakhstan.
The main purpose of the visit is establishment of friendly relations and cooperation in culture and business.
Today R.Schlageter visited Kurchatov town where he met with the leadership and scientists of the National Nuclear Center as well as visited the Nuclear Technology Park and the Museum of radiation security. Later in the day the Ambassador took part in the opening ceremony of "Modern Germany" exhibition.
The day before the Ambassador met with Semey Mayor Meiramkhat Ainabekov. The Head of the city told the members of the delegation about the history of the region and its socio-economic situation.
The German Ambassador is expected to visit city museums and "Hospice" NGO that was granted EUR 10 thousand by the German Government.
