Gender balance promotion is one of key directions of Kazakhstan's state policy - G.Abdykalikova
Our country constructs a democratic society, striving for ensuring equality of men and women as an important condition of sustainable democracy. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova has announced it at the additional sitting on OSCE Human Dimension untitled "Promotion of gender balance and participation of women in political and public life" in the OSCE headquarters in Vienna on Thursday, May 6.
As the Kazakh Minister noted, in 2008 the country adopted "Path to Europe" state program which foresees creation of conditions for development of the balanced gender policy using the European experience in this field.
In this context G.Abdykalikova noted dynamic development of Kazakhstan's cooperation with international institutions in the humanitarian sphere, and highly appraised the role of the National Commission for Women Affairs and Family- Demographic Policy under the Kazakh President. "The OSCE, ODIHR, UNDP, UNIFEM rendered effective assistance to Kazakhstan in development of the National Strategy on Gender Equality", she emphasized.
The Kazakh delegation includes also Majilisman Aitkul Samakova and Ambassador-at-Large Madina Dzharbussynova.
