GDP to increase by 1% - Economy Ministry

ASTANA. March 24. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ The real gross domestic product in 2009 is forecast by a baseline scenario to increase by 1%. Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov has made it public at the session of the Government today.
This index is by 1.7 percentage points lower compared to the previous forecast.
?The low GDP growth is connected with the slowdown of industrial output (as estimated, to 0.4%), in the sphere of services and reduction of construction volumes. By 2013 the GDP per capita is forecast to reach USD 10, 822?, the Minister added.
