GDP of Kazakhstan per capita topped USD 9 - President

ASTANA. January 28. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The GDP of Kazakhstan per capita topped USD 9 thousand for January 1 of this year, N. Nazarbayev noted at the joint session of the Houses of the Parliament delivering his annual Address to the Nation.
'In 1994 the GDP per capita was just a bit over USD 700 and January 1, 2011 it increased more than by 12 times and topped USD 9 thousand', the President noted.
'We expected to have these figures reached by in 2015', N. Nazarbayev emphasized.
Besides, the Head of State noted that no country in the world history had the same results after 20 years of independence.
