"Gas Infrastructure World Caspian 2009" conference kicks off in Baku

BAKU. September 15. KAZINFORM /Arnur Mukhametkarim/ An international conference "Gas Infrastructure World Caspian 2009" will start its work in Baku today; the organizer of the event - Terrapinn Company - informs.
It is planned to consider the issues of the potential growth of the gas industry of the Caspian Sea, reforms of the global gas market and its influence on the region at the conference. The participants will discuss the issues of intergovernmental cooperation on gas export from the Caspian region, determination of key influence factors on future export routes, investing in large gas projects and development of a single structure of procurements and gas transmission.
Besides, the issues of implementation of "Nabucco", "White Stream", "Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline" projects will be touched upon.
Heads of a number of energy departments of the interested countries, international structures and companies will take part in the conference.
