BAKU. October 7. KAZINFORM Former Libyan leader Moamer Gaddafi called late Thursday on Libyans to protest against the new leaders who ousted him from power, DPA reported; Kazinform refers to Trend News.
In an audio message broadcast on the Syria-based Al-Rai television Gaddafi urged Libyans "to turn out in millions in the streets with courage" and protest the situation in Libya which he described as "unbearable."
Gaddafi's whereabouts are still unknown and it was not clear when the message was recorded. The fugitive leader last addressed an audio message to his people in mid September.
Gaddafi, in the poor-quality audio message, stressed that Libya's transitional leaders are not legitimate because they were not elected by the people.
The audio message came as fighting raged in Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte; Kazinform cites Trend News.
