MADRID. June 9. KAZINFORM Gabonese President Omar Bongo died on Monday in a clinic in Barcelona, Spanish media said citing sources close to the president; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
According to the report, the Gabonese leader died at approximately 10:00 GMT on Monday at the Quiron hospital, where he was hospitalized in early May. According to unconfirmed reports, the 73-year-old leader was being treated for bowel cancer; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
