G. Gref thanked Nazarbayev for maintaining equal competitiveness conditions for all market participants

G. Gref noted JSC "Sberbank" shows the high rates of development in Kazakhstan. "We intend to become one of the key banks in Kazakhstan during the next five years. I want to thank you for maintaining equal conditions of competitiveness for all market participants," the banker said to Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The history of the Subsidiary Bank of "Sberbank of Russia" JSC in Kazakhstan starts at the end of 2006 when Sberbank of Russia, the leader of the Russian financial system, the largest financial institution of the Central and Eastern Europe, acquires 99,99% of shares of TexakaBank recognized as the bank with the best level of customer service basing on the version of the "National Business" magazine.

In 2007 the Bank has received a license for carrying out of banking and other operations which are carried out by the banks in national and foreign currency. The same year the Authorized Capital of the Bank has been increased almost by 15 times and has made up KZT 29 billion (more than USD 240 million) which fact has allowed SB "Sberbank" JSC to enter into 10 largest banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the size of the Authorized capital.
