FUTURE STARTS TODAY: Public-private partnership mechanism is ineffective in rural areas - «Meyirim» MC Director
"What is the principle of public-private partnership? Businessman at his own expense establishes his/her business and the state to return the money to the businessman if the object starts to work. Office of Health plans to build four facilities in our region including polyclinics in Taraz, perinatal center in Taraz as well as the central district clinics in the areas called Merke and Kordai", said Nurumova.
G. Nurumova is a chairman of the known private medical company of the region. She is involved in the construction of a city polyclinic in Taraz. There has been already purchased land for future clinic, a draft is being worked out. The project's implementation requires support of investors.
"Having a great experience in the private health care and as chairman of the Association of Business Women of Zhambyl region I talk a lot with fellow entrepreneurs. When we examined the issue of public-private partnership with the Commission of regional Maslikhat we came to the conclusion that it is almost impossible to find an investor for the construction of district clinics in rural areas. Today, rural areas are not attractive for private investors. Therefore, the construction of district clinics which are of high demand in settlements of Zhambyl region should be financed from the state budget".
